Now that I’ve been diagnosed, how do I tell my family, friends and colleagues?

Brief Summary
The stigma of being diagnosed with a mental illness prevents many people from returning to the lives without shame and may exacerbate the feelings of being different. Members of the Client Empowerment Council will talk about their experiences returning to school, work and to their families and discuss the power of talking about their illness and when it may be appropriate not to talk about it. The panel includes the perspective from the Chief of Staff on how talking about mental illness contributes to recovery and empowerment.

Registration is requested. Admission is FREE.
