Position: Scheduling Clerk, Temporary Part-Time (0.40 FTE)
Program: Nursing Office
Location: Brockville Mental Health Centre

Duties:

  • Collaborates with Managers/Operations Co-ordinators/Professional Practice Co-ordinators in the day to day assignment of staff for units.
  • Enters shift codes in the staffing system to reflect any changes in daily activities.
  • Maintains scheduling records and inputs transactions into a computerized scheduling system to generate bi-weekly pay.
  • Maintains and creates manual pay cards for staff as required.
  • Produces a variety of schedules and reports as identified by the Nursing Services Co-ordinator.
  • Utilizes the ESP staffing system to maintain accurate record keeping, ie. availability, current telephone/pager numbers, etc.
  • Maintains an easily accessible filing system.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of the ROHCG.
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to the ROHCG Respectful Workplace policy.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Ontario secondary school diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of one year post secondary education in a related field, ie business, education with a computer application.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Previous clerical experience with good attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of various word processing and data management software
  • Demonstrated ability to type 40 words per minute with high accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure when required to meet deadlines and multi-task
  • WHMIS and fire demonstrations within the past 12 months.
  • Ability to operate photocopiers, fax machines, Internal/External Phone System.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in payroll preparation is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Salary Range: $22.79 to $24.95 hourly
