When you are ready to begin the application process, please follow the application instructions below!
Step One: Open the application form (PDF) and reference (PDF) located in the box below.
Step Two: Forward the reference form to two people who can act as references for you, asking them to return the form to you once completed. Meanwhile please complete the application form.
Step Three: Once you have completed the application, please send it along with your reference forms to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail/drop-off to The Royal, attn: Volunteer Services, 1145 Carling Avenue, Ottawa ON K1Z 7K4. We will then register you as a volunteer applicant and send you a letter in the mail to obtain a Police Records Check free of charge.
Step Four: Bring the Police Records Check letter and form to the police station along with the required identification, in order to process the request. Within approximately 4 weeks, the completed check will be mailed to your home address.
Step Five: Once you have your completed Police Records Check in-hand, contact the office again at 613.722.6521 ext. 6530 and we’ll schedule a time for you to come in and meet with Annmarie Nicholson, Director of Volunteer Services.
