Generous Support From Great-West Life
Graham Family Donates $1 Million
What if we could diagnose depression with a simple brain scan or a blood test? What if we could tailor mental health treatments based a person’s individual biology? What if people suffering from depression and related illnesses could be helped to get better faster? Generous support from Great-West Life, totaling $1.5 million since 2005, is helping researchers at The Royal delve into the answers to these questions and many more.
The Graham's $1-million donation injects hope in The Royal’s campaign to acquire brain imaging in the near future . “Understanding, diagnosis, treatment … thanks to the Graham’s generosity, we’re that much closer to shedding light on diseases of the brain like Alzheimer’s – and in doing so, making a substantial and positive difference in the lives of others” acknowledged Andrée Steel, President and CEO of The Royal’s Foundation for Mental Health.
