SUMMARY:Building motivation and preparing your loved one for change
DESCRIPTION:Our Fall and Winter caregiver education series offers free virtual workshops that build on the principles of Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and offer practical tools to help you support your loved one’s mental health. \nThis workshop draws upon EFFT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. Participants will gain skills and practical knowledge on the change process: how to build motivation\, deal with resistance\, and develop strategies to support loved ones through each stage of change. \nNote: Participants are welcome to register for any and all groups\, but attendance to the first group “Emotion Coaching for Caregivers” is highly recommended as it serves as a foundation for the remaining workshops to build upon.
