SUMMARY:LEAP Workshop: Learn\, Empathize\, Agree\, Partner | Part One
DESCRIPTION:LEAP helps participants communicate with their loved one who’s struggling with serious mental health concerns to create an alliance that leads to treatment and recovery. This is particularly relevant for: \n\nA family member or friend of someone who is experiencing challenges with mental illness and/or substance use or has anosognosia (someone who does not believe they are unwell or has a lack of insight) and refuses treatment.\nA family caregiver of someone who understands they need treatment.\n\nThis two-day LEAP workshop is led by Jenepher Lennox Terrion\, the only facilitator currently certified to lead this workshop in Ontario. It’s based on Dr. Xavier Amador’s best-selling book “I’m Not Sick\, I Don’t Need Help.” \nThis is a two-part workshop. Workshops are from 9am to 12pm on the following dates: \n\nFriday\, Sept. 18\nFriday\, Sept. 25
