Perimenopause and Menopause: Understanding its impact and implications for mental health care

Perimenopause and menopause affect nearly half the world’s population, yet research and funding—particularly on the impact these conditions have on mental illness—remain limited. The Royal is addressing this critical gap: our annual Women in Mind conference unites specialized mental health expertise, research and community partners to confront how the menopausal transition affects mental health and what must change in care and policy.

As part of the Conference, The Royal is hosting an in-person networking session on November 13. This session brings together clinicians, researchers and community partners to exchange insights on perimenopause, menopause and their impact on mental illness. Access is included with your virtual conference ticket for November 14.
