Spiritual and Cultural Care Services at The Royal support people in moments of meaning, crisis, transition, and loss. Whether someone is exploring their sense of purpose, navigating a spiritual path, or processing grief, this service is here to help.
Care is available to patients, families, and staff in both Ottawa and Brockville. Our team includes professionally trained chaplains, clinicians, cultural care associates, and community partners from a range of faith and cultural traditions. Together, we offer care, advocacy, and consultation.
Services offered
- Support and counselling for grief, loss, loneliness, and questions about meaning
 - One-to-one psychotherapy
 - Mindfulness and meditation groups (for patients and staff)
 - Non-denominational gatherings
 - Support after the death of a loved one, including memorial services
 - Connection to faith or cultural communities of a person’s choosing
 - Spiritual and cultural education for staff and teams
 - Referrals to community resources
