New year with new opportunities to support mental health care and research in Ottawa

Mental health affects every single Ontarian one way or another, especially as COVID-19 concerns rise. To raise funds to enhance mental health programs and research at The Royal, the Foundation is kicking off the new year with two creative opportunities.

Flip the Lens Youth Video Contest

Flip the Lens

Youth across North America are invited to submit a short video that supports an anti-stigma message around mental health. Videos can be submitted in either English or French. The winning video will be premiered at the 2021 Inspiration Awards, being held on March 4, 2021.  The winning submission will also be awarded $1000.00.

The Royal's 50/50

The Royal’s 50/50 Raffle

The Royal Ottawa Foundation has launched The Royal’s 50/50 lottery! There are three early bird prizes to be won in addition to the 50 per cent of the funds go to the person with the winning ticket and 50 per cent of the funds will support mental health care and research at The Royal. 

The grand prize draw will be held on March 4, 2021 as part of 2021 Inspiration Awards. “The pandemic has allowed our Foundation to try new strategies to raise much needed funds for The Royal. Today, we’re excited to launch this new opportunity for someone in our community to win money while also raising money for mental health care,” says Mitchell Bellman, president and CEO, Royal Ottawa Foundation.
