Martin Lalumière , PhD

I am Full Professor at the School of Psychology (Clinical Program) in Faculty of Social Sciences. I am also Full Professor of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine and Senior Scientist at the Forensic Research Unit at The Royal's Institute of Mental Health Research. Before moving to Ottawa in 2013, I was on faculty in the Department of Psychology at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta (2004-2012). Previously, I was a Research Psychologist in the Law and Mental Health Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (1997-2004), a psychiatric teaching hospital in Toronto, Ontario. At the same time, I was on faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto (1997-2004). I started my career as a Research Psychologist at the maximum secure unit of the Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene (1996-1997), a psychiatric hospital on Georgian Bay, Ontario (now called the Waypoint Mental Health Centre).
