Ian Fraser

Ian Fraser is a community leader, entrepreneur and former national-level triathlete with extensive experience in not-for-profit leadership, major event delivery and the promotion of active living. He is Chief Executive Officer of the RA Centre, one of Ottawa’s largest sport, recreation, wellness and community hubs.

Previously, Ian served as Executive Director and Race Director of Run Ottawa, where he led the organization responsible for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. He has also founded and operated several Ottawa-based businesses in the sport, fitness and event sectors. His experience has given him a practical understanding of organizational transformation, community engagement, strategic partnerships and sustainable growth.

Ian serves as a Trustee of The Royal, bringing an entrepreneurial and community-focused perspective to the Board. His leadership is grounded in a strong commitment to people, access, inclusion and the long-term role that sport, recreation and social connection play in supporting individual and community well-being.
