Scientist
Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Carleton University
I lead the Functional Neuroimaging Physics Laboratory at Carleton. The lab’s primary interest is developing MRI techniques for imaging brain activity at high spatial resolution and quantitatively imaging brain physiology, including oxygen metabolism and blood flow. To this end, we use a combination of computational modelling and experimental imaging.
This research allows us to map brain activity with improved precision and gives neuroscientists and clinicians a more complete picture of the effects of neurological and mental illnesses like depression on brain health.
