Geoff Simpson

Geoff Simpson is the Chief Financial and Corporate Officer of the Canadian Red Cross. As a Certified Professional Accountant, Geoff has more than 25 years of progressively responsible management experience in financial and operational settings. He is known for his successful negotiation skills, his ability to achieve growth and transformation through innovation, and his motivating leadership style. In 2024, while CFO of the Hydro Ottawa Group of Companies, he was awarded CFO of the Year by the Ottawa Board of Trade/Ottawa Business Journal.

As CFO, Geoff is a key member of the executive team responsible for financial strategies for operations and capital investment while providing leadership and direction in the areas of operational planning and budgeting, contract management, investment strategies for trust funds, enterprise risk management, corporate reporting, and compliance. In addition, Geoff leads a broad portfolio of corporate services for the Canadian Red Cross including but not limited to, People Services, Supply Chain Management, Fleet & Facilities, Technology Group and Project Management.
