The Royal is proud to congratulate Dr. Michael Seto, Forensic Research Director and Chair of its Research Ethics Board, on his election as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS), one of the highest honours in Canada's health sciences community.
Dr. Seto was recognized for his internationally influential research focused on understanding and preventing child sexual abuse. His work has shaped policy, clinical practice and diagnostic systems around the world, while advancing evidence-based approaches to protecting children and preventing harm.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition from the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences,” said Dr. Michael Seto. “Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside many collaborators to advance our understanding of child sexual abuse prevention and to translate that knowledge into policies and practices that help protect children and support communities.
