Research Focus

My research investigates the neural correlates of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related mental health conditions, with the goal of advancing innovative, evidence-based treatments. I also examine the neural mechanisms of minority stress through an intersectional lens, addressing how systemic inequities shape brain processes and mental health outcomes.

How I am Working to Make a Difference for Those Living with Mental Illness

Using advanced neuroimaging techniques, I seek to deepen understanding of the neurobiological factors underlying mental health disorders—particularly those that disproportionately affect marginalized communities—and translate these insights into more effective and accessible interventions.
