Research Focus

The focus of my research is the development, evaluation and implementation of digital interventions primarily in mental health.  Current projects include: self-administered interventions for health anxiety, sleep, and caregiving of brain-injured.  Most recently, my group is working on coach-delivered digital interventions for PTSD and a public health intervention for PTSD.

A Point of Pride

I spun out the Strongest Families Institute, a not for profit, with research we did.  It provides digital mental health interventions to about 10 thousand families a year across Canada and it is also used for families in Finland. It was recognized by the Governor General’s Innovation Award, the Manning Foundation Principal Innovation Award and the Mental Health Commission Social Innovation Award.

How I am Working to Make a Difference for Those Living with Mental Illness

My research contributes to the well-being of Canadians by developing and evaluating new mental health interventions and new ways to deliver mental health interventions.
