The family information and support program at The Royal is proud to present Emotion Coaching for Caregivers.
This free, two-part virtual workshop led by Royal social workers, Rob Nettleton and Amanda Rocca, will provide participants with an evidence-based advanced caregiving tool from Emotion-Focused Family Therapy that is effective across the lifespan. Whether you are supporting a child, a teen, a family member, or other loved ones, emotion coaching is an effective skill you can use to promote emotional development, behaviour change, and deepen your relationships with your loved ones.
Emotion coaching is a way of helping loved ones deal with different emotions. Coaching involves supporting loved ones to identify and name emotions, validating emotions, setting limits/boundaries, and providing emotional and/or practical support. Emotion coaching can promote emotional regulation, resilience and well-being.

Please note: Registration is unlimited for the first session, but will have a limit of 15 people per group for the second session.
