Overview

The Integrated Forensic Program (IFP) Family Support Group is a ten-week educational support group for family members and loved ones of client’s who are currently in the forensic system. It is facilitated by Social Workers from both the Ottawa and Brockville IFP sites. Participants will receive information on a variety of forensic specific topics, including an overview of forensic mental health, assessments, discharge planning, risk management and recovery. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to engage in weekly support with members of the IFP Social Work team following the weekly educational sessions.

Date and Time

Thursdays, from April 15 to June 17, 2021
6 to 8 PM on zoom

10 sessions (1 hour education & 1 hour support)

Cost

These sessions are free, and open to family members/loved ones/caregivers/friends of clients of the Integrated Forensic program however registrations is required.
