Over the years, the network comprising junior researchers at The Royal has continued to evolve. Now called the Neuroscience and Mental Health Trainee Network (NeuMe-TN), their objective remains the same: to create a centralized and collaborative network dedicated to enhancing opportunities for mental health research, education, and training for trainees and early-career researchers affiliated with The Royal.
Following several years of fantastic leadership by Ana Santos (PhD candidate, Carleton University), Rami Hamati (PhD candidate, University of Ottawa) and Caroline Wallace (Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Ottawa), the network is now led by Co-Chairs Jessica Drodge (Interventional Psychiatry Program Coordinator, IMHR) and Zacharie Saint-Georges (MD/PhD candidate, University of Ottawa).
This year, through increasing their reputation, presence, and reach via social media NeuMe-TN hopes to expand their mandate by helping to provide opportunities for trainees’ to highlight their research on the local stage and beyond. You can follow them on X and Bluesky.
