My Health My Way is an easy and secure way to access information about your care at The Royal. It’s free to use and registration is easy. All you need is an email address and a way to access the internet.

What information is available through My Health My Way?

• Current medication (only for outpatients)
• Lab results
• Some clinical reports such as discharge summaries and consultation reports*
• A history of your appointments at The Royal
• Appointments scheduled at The Royal’s Sleep Clinic (other programs and clinics will be added in the future)

You can also use My Health My Way to update your demographic information (age, gender, etc.)

*Please note: Some reports require more time to be processed and may not be available right away.

Why should I use My Health My Way?

My Health My Way contains information that can empower you as you work with your clinical team to achieve your recovery goals. 

My Health My Way enables you to review information about your health, prepare for appointments, keep track of your medications and certain appointments, and more.

What do I need to sign up for My Health My Way?  

To use My Health My Way you need:

1.    An email address.
2.   A computer or mobile device with internet access.

My Health My Way is an online service, which you can access from any computer or mobile device connected to the internet. Computer stations are available at The Client and Family Resource Hub, located at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (1145 Carling Avenue), and often at your local library or community centre. 

If you do not have an email address, you can sign up for a free account with an email service provider such as Gmail or Yahoo. Information about setting up an email account can be found here.

How do I sign up?

It’s easy! At your next appointment, ask your physician to enroll you with the “QuickEnroll” function in your electronic health record. (Please note that you need an email address to register.)

Alternatively, you can click here and fill out the online registration form. You will be required to show proof of identity, such as a health card, to complete the sign-up process this way. 

Can any client sign up?

Royal clients who are over the age of 15 and have the capacity to collect, use and disclose personal health information may be granted access to My Health My Way. Please note that My Health My Way is not available to clients in the Forensic Program, clients in the Secure Treatment Unit at the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre, and clients whose care is managed under the Ontario Review Board or undergoing court-ordered assessment.

Clients in the Forensic Program may request their records through the clinical records department by calling 613-722-6521, poste 6338 ou 6315 or sending an email to ReleaseofInformation-Ottawa@theroyal.ca.

Can my family access my information? 

Currently, only clients of The Royal can access their personal health information through My Health My Way. 

Substitute decision-makers and people who have power of attorney can request records on behalf of clients at The Royal. For more information, email ReleaseofInformation-Ottawa@theroyal.ca or call our clinical records department at 613-722-6521, poste 6338 ou 6315.

Is My Health My Way private and secure?

Where do I log in to My Health My Way?

Where can I get help using My Health My Way?

Volunteers at The Client and Family Resource Hub are happy to answer questions and provide assistance. The Hub is located at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (1145 Carling Avenue). Check hours of operation at theroyal.ca/TheHub.
