The Women’s Mental Health Program at The Royal presents the women’s BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) journaling group.
This free online group is a peer-led way for BIPOC women – and people who identify as women – to express themselves through the act of journaling. Over nine weekly sessions, participants will learn about the benefits of journaling and be lead through topics such as: making connections; expanding one's emotional vocabulary; letter writing; gratitude; self-esteem journaling; creative journaling, and evaluation. Emphasis will be on the experiences of BIPOC women and participants will have the option of sharing weekly writing assignments. Tools needed include pen & paper, email, and Zoom access. Space is limited to 18 participants. The group is hosted by BIPOC peer facilitators.
