The Royal's
 response to COVID-19

Dear Friend of The Royal,

By now you are surely aware of the scope and scale of COVID-19 and the impact it is having on the wider community.

During this unprecedented time, The Royal is committed to continuing to provide our clients and our community with excellent mental health care while also doing our part to limit the spread of COVID-19.

We should all take comfort knowing that we have a hard-working, caring, and dedicated team here at The Royal who are doing everything in their power to ensure staff, clients, and families remain safe and healthy.

We have put measures in place to protect the health of our team and the individuals in our care. This situation is changing rapidly. At this time, these measures include mandatory screening for everyone who enters our facilities, limitations on visitors, and the cancellation of all conferences and public events. While we are also limiting group-based care activities, one-on-one care and some inpatient activities will continue.

We have put together these questions and answers to help anyone who may be wondering what this means for them. Our website is being updated as the situation evolves.

If you have a loved one in our care, rest assured that our excellent and compassionate staff will continue to look after them and ensure that they are engaged and supported whether that is through virtual care or other creative solutions.

Thank you to everyone on our team, all of our partners and supporters, and our clients and families who are working through this with us. There is a lot of uncertainty in this world right now but we are a strong community, a community who cares, and we are in this together.

Sincerely,

Joanne Bezzubetz
