Kate Purchase is an accomplished public policy and strategic communications leader with extensive experience at the intersection of technology, governance, and politics. Currently serving as Senior Director of International AI Governance at Microsoft, Kate leads global efforts to advance coherent frameworks for AI regulation and adoption across 15 strategic markets, and represents Microsoft in high-level international forums such as the G20. Previously, she advised Microsoft’s CEO on geopolitical and crisis communications and held senior leadership roles in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, where she shaped the federal government’s communications strategy and policy messaging. With a proven track record in both the public and private sectors, Kate also sits on the Boards of the Juno Awards and the Jaime Anderson Parliamentary Internship.
