Vanessa Gruben
Vanessa Gruben is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa and Director of the Centre for Health Law, Policy and Ethics. A recognized expert in health law and reproductive justice, her scholarship spans assisted reproduction, organ donation, harm reduction, and healthcare regulation. She has co-authored and edited numerous leading texts, including Families and the Law in Canada and Critical Perspectives on Surrogacy, and regularly advises government, health organizations, and advocacy groups. A former Supreme Court law clerk, Vanessa is an active contributor to public policy debates and serves on several national advisory boards, including AMS Healthcare. Her work has been recognized with awards for excellence in research, teaching, and graduate supervision.
