Royal staff & physicians, learners with an active placement at The Royal, volunteers who are currently working onsite, and their household members can now get a COVID test at the 1145 Carling Ave campus of The Royal. COVID tests are performed Monday to Friday, from 3 to 8 PM.
Please note – If you are booking an appointment for more than one person (e.g. your child or another direct household member) each person requires their own appointment.
Appointments are only available to direct household members who share the same address. If children live at two different homes, and one parent is associated with The Royal, both parents are eligible to receive their test at The Royal.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for a test, everyone must self-screen using the provincial COVID-19 self-assessment tool and be directed to seek testing.
Individuals must be aged 2 or older. Any child under the age of 2 should proceed to the CHEO COVID testing centre at Brewer.
The current guidelines to seek a test are:
- Showing COVID-19 symptoms OR
- Have been exposed to a confirmed case of the virus
