Overview
This event will bring together client and family advisors; health care professionals and leadership from across the region. The broader community will collaborate in a discussion to explore innovative concepts for client and family centred care.
The afternoon action-oriented workshop will tackle the client and family centred approach to building and managing effective and collaborative inter- agency or inter-departmental teams and committees.
Conference Goals:
- To identify new possibilities to directly enhance client and family experiences, mental health and the well-being of the people we serve
- To address the disconnect between the training desire to provide client and family centred care, and the restrictions imposed by policies, procedures, traditions, and structures of healthcare and political systems, and the resulting organizational cultures
- To share knowledge products and resources as well as create opportunities to network
- To emphasize the needs of families and their own recover
