Fatherhood and Mental Health

This informative, thought-provoking, and humorous Father's Day conversation takes a broad look at the biological, psychological and social aspects of fatherhood.

During this conversation we traced the historical and evolving role of fathers in our society. Questions regarding hormonal changes in fathers during pregnancy were also addressed, including aspects of postpartum depression.

Most importantly, we examined the "father effect" on children's health and mother's wellbeing. "I am your FATHER" is the third of a three-part series focusing on male health and is preceded by a "Male Mental Health" conversation and "Men, Mustaches and Mental Health".
