Strengths-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis and Schizophrenia

Our lecture 'Hope, Humanity and Empowerment: Strengths-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis & Schizophrenia' was presented by staff members of the Integrated Forensic, Recovery and Schizophrenia programs at The Royal.

Psychosis can be associated with a variety of mental health problems, including schizophrenia, severe depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorders.

While traditional treatments for psychosis have emphasized medication-based strategies, research now suggests that individuals affected by psychosis can greatly benefit from talk therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis (CBTP).
