David Oikle

Board member

David Oikle is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA) and a director-at-large of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). 

David has been a real estate broker with Royal LePage Team Realty since 2003, with a focus on residential sales. Previously, he had more than 15 years of senior leadership experience across a diverse mix of private sector organizations, including serving as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of LINMOR Inc., a publicly-traded software company, from 1997 to 2003. He has led large teams with a range of disciplines including finance and accounting, human resources, business development, sales and marketing, information technology, and support services.

In addition to CREA and The Royal, David has also served on the boards of directors of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (president in 2015) and the Ontario Real Estate Association (president in 2021), and is former Chair of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind (1998-2002).  He has completed extensive director training through the Institute of Corporate Directors, where he obtained the ICD.D designation.

David has deep roots in Ottawa. He grew up in the west end, has lived in various communities around the city and currently lives in Westboro.  David has a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and is a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal “Forty Under 40 Award” (2000).
