Donor spotlight: Hope and healing for individuals and families

Navigating your mental health is difficult to do alone, but dealing with mental health issues in the family can take a toll on everyone involved.

Johannes Ziebarth, President & CEO of Ziebarth Electrical Contractors knows this first hand. “When my family was helping someone who lived with a substance use disorder, we found it really difficult to find support. Caring for our family member in the way they needed it was impacting our own well-being.”

Johannes eventually found a family support group at The Royal, where he attended regular meetings. Having the guidance and support from peers became a foundation in his ability to support his loved one through a difficult time.

The Royal was there for Johannes at a time when he needed it, and he wants to ensure it is there for you too.

Thanks to Johannes and a community of donors, The Royal is opening a new Client and Family Resource Hub, so that when an individual faces a mental health challenge, their entire support circle can access support in unison.

The Royal’s Client and Family Resource Hub provides much-needed support to patients and families, enriching their journey and providing hope. The Hub offers connection to in-person and virtual resources, activities, groups, programs and peer support.

“Mental health challenges are a universal experience that impact all of us in some way. My hope is that The Client & Family Resource Hub will provide individuals and families with comfort and support throughout their recovery. We are so lucky to have access to the specialized care that only The Royal can provide, and The Hub will enhance their already significant impact within our community.”

Johannes is a true champion of mental health, at home, in the community, and at work. As a business owner, he feels that investing in a healthy community, whether financially or as a volunteer, is an important part of his job.

“I believe all businesses who are fortunate enough should find a community-based organization to support. If they don’t know where to start, reach out and I would be happy to offer some suggestions.”
