COVID-19 Q&A: Is The Royal still admitting patients during COVID-19?

COVID-19 Q&A:

Is The Royal still admitting patients during COVID-19?

Answer:

Yes, The Royal is continuing to admit patients from both the community and from our partner hospitals. However, given the ongoing pandemic and the importance of reducing exposure and spread of COVID-19, we are limiting admissions to urgent or emergency situations.

If you feel that your mental health is worsening, you may also want to ask your family doctor/nurse practitioner about a referral to The Royal’s PROMPT clinic. It’s staffed by a team of mental health nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers who can provide the following services: urgent assessments, medication support, short-term psychotherapy (maximum four sessions per client), and help with accessing other services.
