Client & Family Forums

The Royal is now hosting frequent Client & Family Forums in order to continue the conversation on client and family-oriented care delivery as part of our new strategy, Co-creating Hope, Access and New Possibilities. These forums also provide clients and families with a platform to share their experiences navigating their care journeys, enabling The Royal to learn how to deliver care in a way that works for those who need it.

Our next Client & Family Forum will be in March 2022 – more details to come!

Participating in Research

In order for our researchers to better understand mental illness, it is often critical for them to work closely with the people who are living with it. Research conducted at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR) at The Royal largely depends on volunteers from our community, who become important partners in clinical studies.

These studies help bring researchers closer to unlocking the mysteries of the human brain, which can lead to new and effective ways to prevent, detect, identify, manage and treat depression and related conditions.

Help us to improve mental health care at The Royal and around the world: Consent to be contacted about research today.
